Bulk update option for picking the new lifecycle?

One of our user created a lifecycle for his community.
The issues he is having is that there are assets that were approved prior to having this lifecycle implemented and he is not even able to go and reject them.
Community admin would like these old assets to go through the new process and pick up the new lifecycle.
Since community admin wants to do this operation with hundreds of assets, is it possible that he will perform the modification of assets using bulk update process and it will pick up the appropriate lifecycle. Or does batch operations in iRAM Web client circumvent the lifecycle event?

I'm assuming the assets are in a legacy review process. You should be able to move them into your new lifecycle in bulk by following these steps.

1. Make sure your new lifecycle has no entry conditions or that the assets you want to move into the lifecycle meet all entry conditions.

2. In the web, search for the assets you want to move into the new lifecycle and select the 'Modify these assets' icon. It's the icon with two blue boxes and a pencil in the top right of the search results.

3. Select all assets and click attributes. Temporarily modify an attribute on these assets. You may wish to create a new temporary attribute for this purpose.

4. Select 'OK'. The assets should enter the new lifecycle. You can use Bulk Actions again to undo your change and the assets will remain in the lifecycle.

Alternatively, instead of changing an attribute, you could ad a category or make some other temporary modification to the assets.

I've used this 'technique' to move or refresh an asset's lifecycle. My asset type has an attribute named 'Visibility' which determine which lifecycle should be use (public or private), so when i need to change a lifecycle I use the bulk operation to make it.

Remember that bulk operation is limited to 1000 assets, at least on v7.5.0.2
