Migrating from RTC 2.0.0.2 to 3.0.1.1
One answer
You do not need to create new Eclipse workspaces.
I usually recommend doing a fresh Eclipse installation, so you still
have the Eclipse installation version with the older plugin, in case you
find the need to access the older version of the RTC repository (the old
RTC Eclipse plugin can be used to access the newer version of the
repository, but the new RTC Eclipse plugin cannot be used to access the
older version of the repository).
Cheers,
Geoff

When migrating clients, can one do an in-place upgrade or should one

We generally install RTC into an existing eclipse using an update
site.
