Hi,

We've added a new sections to the test plan (case) template that uses grid or text..

We want to add a default content to that sections in test plan (case) template. So when we create an instance from that template it must include the default info to that section content..

Is it possible to do that?

Regards,

No (see http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v3r0m1/topic/com.ibm.rational.test.qm.doc/topics/t_cretptemplate.html).

I also wanted to have mandatory descriptions in the template.

I find the insert table function difficult to use whereas creating the grids is easy. However it doesnt give you the ability to add in text to describe what is contained in the grid.

Since you have confirmed that we cannot add text/description to a grid, is there any workaround to add the grid format in to a text field?

Unfortunately, no. You can add a description to a custom section.
