How to - Automatically fill another attribute value

I would like to know how can we accomplish the following

We have a list of users who would be working on different applications For examples

"Application" "Owner Name"
Web - > Thomas
GUI - > Anna
Server - > Philip

I would like to have the person select the application (Filed Against) and then that selection would automatically select the Owned by (Contributor) value.

Is this possible? Any help is greatly appreciated
