What is RRDI's Value-Add between CLM and Cognos?
I have setup CLM+RRDI for my own learning purposes. I have a few questions, thanks for your help.
1) What is the value-add due to RRDI (i.e., is it an abstraction/simplification of Cognos SDK, Custom Authentication Provider or other)?
2) If RRDI is a value-add, is that value specific to CLM or generic such that it can be used in other scenarios (of Cognos integration with other web applications)?
3) If generic, where can I get further information (e.g., java doc, developer guide, etc)?

RRDI packages Cognos components in an Installer that is available to CLM
customers to do reporting with the powerful Cognos Report development
tools (Report Studio and Query Studio) on CLM data.
In the current release this is a special packaging for CLM only. RRDI
only provides report development tools. For other data integrations and
extensibility scenarios Rational sells another Cognos-based product
called IBM Rational Insight.
Not generic, but see the Rational Insight product documentation on
jazz.net and ibm.com/software/rational for what you can do with Insight.
Hope this helps,
