PermGen space issue on Linux RTC client 3.0.1

Hi
I am using RTC 3.0.1 client RHEL 5 machine and is facing the following error while working

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space

i tried setting the parameter -XX:MaxPermSize to 1024m in the eclipse.ini file but it did not solve the issue.

Can anyone suggest a solution to this issue.
