How does RTC deal with "Evil Twins"

Rubin Zheng (1698) | asked Aug 05 '11, 10:35 a.m.
Hi

Evil Twins is the files with the same name which were created in different streams of a directory. In ClearCase Evil Twins issue needs to be very careful in order to prevent make mistake.

It seems that RTC omit this kind of check. Any files with the same name will be treated as 1 file during compare and merge. Is that true?

Anybody can help to explain? Thank you!

Evil twins are possible in RTC. But RTC conflict resolution does
explicitly look for this conflict, to make it easier for you to "merge"
to resolve the conflict.

Cheers,
Geoff
