Version of Adobe PDF in Insight 1.0.1.1

Hi Nataliya,

I don't know the specific version of the PDF files that are generated. Have you run into a problem with a PDF generated in Rational Insight?

Rational Insight 1.0.1.1 bundles Cognos 8 BI server 8.4.1.2 and uses Cognos to generate PDF files. The PDF version is in use by Cognos will be the same for Insight.

I guess I have to rephrase my question to be: "What is the PDF version in Cognos 8 BI server that is bundled in Rational Insight?" :)

We are recording LoadRunner scripts and LoadRunner freezes as soon as it encounters PDF report output during recording. LoadRunner support is asking for a PDF version, so I need to figure out what that is in Cognos... Would you have any idea on where I should look?

Hi Nataliya,

I'm not sure that the version of the PDF would be included in the Cognos documentation. I can follow up with some Cognos contacts that I have to see if that yields any information.

Alternatively, I think the PDF should have the version information embedded in it. In Adobe reader select File->Document Properties. The information should be displayed on the Description tab.

Got it. It was under File -> Properties. What a wonderful and easy solution.
