RTC V3 in z/OS platform, error in registering CCM applicatio

Jorge Nagasaki (17512217) | asked Jul 18 '11, 11:27 p.m.
I have installed RTC V3 on z/OS with the CCM and Build toolkit components, and after configuring it , I am in the phase of running the setup
https://rdzut.ibm.com:19443/jts/setup , everything looks fine, except that at the discovery applications page, I get error CRJAZ2081E when it tries to discover CCM application. I can login to team server ok, and do other tasks like creating users, explore the server, display dashboards etc.. .
I tried to put the URL it shows in the discovery page of setup in a browser and it gives error 400 , 444, that could not find the url
The url shown is https://rdzut.ibm.com:19443/ccm/scr, have re-checked the installations/configurations and could not figure out what is wrong, please can you help?
Thank you

Hi Jorge,

if the discovery finds the application but the url can not be discovered I would assume the application (ccm.war) has not been installed in WAS. Can you use a browser to open https://rdzut.ibm.com:19443/ccm/scr ?

If not you should check the deployed applications, the security settings and potentially undeploy and redeploy CCM.

Also I am using the Tomcat that came with RTC, I did not see instruction on deploying the CCM to Tomcat, it was done by some of the installation Jobs?

Because You said Z I was assuming you deploy to WAS on the Z. If the URL does not show up there are two things I have seen.

1. the ccm.war is not installed in server\tomcat\webapps due to an error in the selection in the setup.
2. The deployment of server\tomcat\webapps\ccm.war failed when starting tomcat the first time.

In the first case you need to reinstall and select the right options (or all default options).

In the l2nd case you can stop tomcat, delete the ccm folder in server\tomcat\webapps and restart tomcat.

I am trying to configure the build definition in RTC eclipse client V3.0 ( bundled in RDz V8.01 for Linux) in Linux platform using the Ant with Enterprise Extensions Rational Build Agent template, and there is no Build Agent Tab in the editor.
Do you know what is wrong?

No idea, My first reaction would be if RTC was installed with RDz it is probably an older version. I'd check that. I never install the bundled RTC, I always install RTC into the product later. Maybe it depends on the template or the license (enterprise developer) your user has assigned. Other than that, I have no Idea.

In RTC V3.0 there are 3 engine types: Jazz Build Engine, Rational Build Agent, and Rational Build Forge. You must create an engine of the type you want (Rational Build Agent in this case) and associate it with your build definition on the Overview tab. This is the replacement to the Build Agent tab in the build definition editor.
