from the download page,I only found Client for Eclipse IDE all(557.43MB),

which client is for AIX ?

You could also try installing the RTC client into eclipse 3.5 or 3.6 for AIX using the p2 repository. I have not tried this and would be interested in knowing if this works for you.

This tech tip is specific to 2.x, however the instructions should work for 3.x as well:

Not sure if it is suitable for you, but you could use the command line client.
