tomcat and jazz changes required for ldap and bluepages auth

Toby Corbin (81136) | asked May 28 '08, 10:41 a.m.
Can anyone send me a step by step guide with details of what I need to change to make tomcat authenticate against bluepages please. I've read the instructions etc on all the links but to be honest, I'm just struggling with this. I don't know what realm setting to use or where to setup my bluegroup details. I'm sure this is straightfoward but I'm not getting it.

I've used this page to setup authentication to bluepages:

Hi, that seems to have worked thanks. However, the users that are set up currently do not appear to be picking up their Jazz roles from the bluegroup they are part of. All the existing users appear in the Web UI but clicking on them shows all the tick boxes for JazzAdmin, JazzUser etc as unticked. I've check the bluegroup and they are part of the JazzUser group I've set up and included in the jaas.config file

edit - I've fixed this bit, hadn't added my bluegroups mapping to the web ui nterface

also, its ignoring the password for the login. Providng the user exists, it lets them log in regardless of what password they enter !!.
