RQM 2 is extremely slow with IE7, is that fixed in v3

Hi

I know the Javascript engine is slow with IE7 with RQM 2. Is that fixed in RQM v3? Or we have to upgrade IE?

Thanks

This is an IE issue, not an RQM issue. There is nothing to be "fixed" in RQM 3 which would make IE run as fast as Firefox or other browsers. The relatively poor performance of Internet Explorer when running Web 2.0 applications is well documented in the industry. For some additional details reference RQMBrowserPerformance.

Not only the JavaScript Performance is poor in IE7 it also consumes a lot of memory (up to factor 3*) and it doesn't free the memory appropriately so you might want to close/reopen IE7 from time to time.

This is even worse if you are in a (unsupported) Citrix environment.

When RQM is linked to RTC,there always happens some exceptional problem, such as inner memroy out and so on.

Also refer to:

In addition, we did find another scenario that impacted performance. Be sure that the locales that you are using in your browser align with the locales (languages) available on the RQM server. For instance, if your server only supports EN-US, try adding that to your topmost locale preference in IE when using RQM.

We have seen the same type of issues with IE8. In addition to the memory issues we have seen issues with test data where the values don't appear when creating the test script, however going to Firefox 6 they appear just fine. We are using 3.0.
