In RTC, how can I define a new Work Item Type (other than the existing Defect, Task, Story, Epic, etc.)? Is it possible by some configuration in the UI or is it only through some RTC extension?


You can make it in Process Configuration tab (open project area or process template). There you'll find the option to create work items types, no RTC extension needed.
