Beta 3 client does not "install"

The installation link on the launchpad works fine, but because I have a previous version, it refused to install, instead requiring me to exit the installer and run the IBM Installation Manager and update my install.

The upgrade topic in the help didn't say anything about the client. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to know if uninstalling (via the IBM Installation Manager) would have been the right thing (or at least a good idea) first.

ASIDE: Will there be an independent client installer in the GA product? The standard download is kinda big for folks that just need to put on a client and point to my server.

The issue of not providing an affordance for updating (vs. installing a
new instance) using the launchpad is discussed in

and is being addressed for the next RC release.
