Importing Formal Project Plan features into Scrum

Hiya!

Am looking to import features, particularly Gantt chart from the 'Formal management' template to the 'Scrum'. I have been told this is possible and had a look at the tutorial which mentions:

You can extend your process template to include features from the Formal Project Management process template, such as time tracking and risk management.

It then goes on to show some code to copy and past however it does not say where to paste and also focuses on these three areas :

- Add new Snapshot types
- enable timetracking in work items

Would this be to with Migrating a project to a different Project template ??
Im starting to get the idea that what I want to do exactly may not be possible ..

Any help would be very much appreciated!!

Hi,

you can import from the Web UI of plans regardless of the process template. The import button is the left blue folder Icon in the right upper corner.

The article you refer to would add Gantt charts and the other traditional planning capabilities to your process template (base plan etc.) so that you could do a mix of traditional and agile planning.
