Question on Tree View Test Plans

Yaqian Fang (2013223) | asked Mar 15 '11, 1:29 a.m.
Hi,

When view test plans, select View as Tree, it will display all test cases of test plans in a tree structured view. It is helpful but it appears that test cases are ordered by numbers, not component, category, etc. (see picture below) This makes it hard to locate a set of test cases.

Does RQM2.0.1.1 iFix2 support to change the tree view in different order-by? How should I do that? P.S. All my test cases are categorized based on component, function, milestone, test phase and theme.
Thank you.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for reply. The given link only shows the three view available, but it doesn't details how to organize the hierarchy structure in customized ways. That is, how to show the test cases by components etc. instead of numbering.

Do you have another link on what I'm after? Thanks.

The tree view supports grouping using the "Group By" selection in the top of the view.
Additionally, the tree view will support all grouping, sorting, and filtering that you perform in the table view.
For instance, I could be in the Table view, filter on only Test Plans that I have created, group by a category, and order by id. When I toggle to "Tree View" all of these settings will be in effect.
Hopefully that is what you are looking for.

Hi John,

I noticed you said "will", so it's not supported yet in the current release/iFix, right? Any ideas when it will be available? Thanks!
