Change the value of a numeric field from query results?

I would like to be able to change the value of a field called "priority" directly from the result of a query.

It appears I can do this for string fields via the right-click menu. But it isn't offered as an option for numeric fields.

Any suggestions on how to get this to work?

Thanks,

Charley

Hello Charley,

do you have added the field Priority in the Result layout?
I am using M6a and on the context meny there is an option Change Priority when I right click in the Priority column.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I do have "enhancement priority" in the result layout, but it is a custom field and not the built-in one called "priority".

So, if this works on the built-in field, how do I get it to work for the custom field?

I am also using M6a.

Thanks,

Charley

Bulk operations are not yet available for all types of attributes.

I wasn't looking to modify these in "bulk", just one at a time.

The capability is there for built-in fields, but doesn't seem to work for custom fields.

Can this be configured to work?

Thanks,

Charley

Currently, you have to open the work item editor to change the value of
the custom integer attribute.

Can I request this an enhancement?

I am using this for multi-level prioritization of new feature requests for a product and it is very cumbersome having to edit each record to make the changes.

Thank you,

Charley
