RRC Reporting fucntion with RPE

Documentation for setting up custom reports in RRC 3.0 is not yet complete though the procedure isn't very different.

My company is evaluating the reporting feature of RRC with RPE. The current version of existing RRC is 2.0.0.2 and will move to RRC 3 soon. Does not know whether it makes a difference.

Any guide / tutorial can facilitate the development / customization of templates for RPE particularly for extracting data from RRC2/3 would be appreciated.
