Email Notification Problems with Server

We are running RTC M6a on Linux (SLES9) and I'm having some issues configuring mail notification

I can confirm I can send mail directly from the Linux box using mailx so I feel that the linux side is ok.

Is there anyway of getting debug information for errors occurring during notification failures ?

Latest error I received when setting up new user and emailing them notification was
---------------------
Exception occurred during team invitation generation: 554 Mail from stuart.c.brown@hsbcgroup.com rejected for policy reasons.

554 Mail from stuart.c.brown@hsbcgroup.com rejected for policy reasons. -------------

Ive tried various combinations of email settings

Any advise really appreciated

Thanks

Are you able to try a different SMTP server?

I have seen the 554 rejected for policy reasons error also - in my case being caused by

1) the server rejecting the sender user because it was not known in the domain we had used a dummy user.

2) the smtp only accepting mails from a specific server and in this case not having RTC server on that list of accepted servers.
