Archving and purging assets

As the number of assets grows over time, we'd like a mechanism to archive and purge old assets.

We want to be able to archive multiple (maybe a large number) of assets at once, with the ability to access them if required, and also to purge what was archived.

Is there a mechanism to easily archive and purge assets based on some criteria, eg, anything older that a certain date that is retired. This is an example query only, the criteria could be different to what is stated, but assume a large number of assets may be returned.

You can use the the expiration policy http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/ramhelp/v7r5m0/topic/com.ibm.ram.doc/topics/r_policies_4_lifecycles.html with an automatic transition (when expiration fails) to a state that hides this asset.

Use Asset Cleanup policy (see same url above).

Or Create your own policy (Configured to run on a timer).
