This is not currently available, but a team is working on developing a
CMVC connector. Feel free to submit workitems for that team (the
category is "CMVC Connector").

Cheers,
Geoff (ClearCase Connector team)

Or send me an email directly as I'm leading that effort.

Unfortunately Mark seems to have left the building. The above work item has a statement
"we are able to import cmvc defects"

Who is Vivek Gupta ? I find 7 or 8 in IBM alone.

In addition to Vivek, another good contact for the CMVC Connector is
Vinod Kumar Choudhary (he's replaced Mark as component lead for the CMVC
Connector).

Cheers,
Geoff

I too am very interested in a CMVC connector and looking at the history of this, it would seem that this work has been all but abandoned? No status to the story has been injected for quite a while now after a promising statement made June 9th that:
Just updating the workitem to indicate that we now have the capability to import CMVC Defects into Jazz.

Well, I'm glad that "we now have the capability..." but would it be possible to share this with others?
Or at the very least providing some information on where it is and whether or not to be able to expect it (and if some help is needed, what?).

There is no functional connector. However, I have had good success with exporting Defects/Features from CMVC in a format that can be handled by the Bugzilla importer.

Additionally, I've managed to use the "Plain Java Client" package with good success to make the import more likely to be driven toward an automated process.

Our customer has left CMVC, but for now RETAIN apars are still showing up on occasion and until we get that connection established with RTC I'll need to import apars once in a while.
