Error when network connection lost

Nigel Jones (2132) | asked Sep 28 '10, 10:07 a.m.
I have RSA+RTC (v2 latest) on my laptop. I am using full SCM with rtc

Much of the time the laptop is connected, but when travelling it may not be.

One slight annoyance is if there is no connectivity I will get a modal dialogue containing errors such is

--start--
'Searching for repository workspaces' has encountered a problem.

CRJAZ1368E The URL "https://myserver.mycompany.com:9443/jazz/service/com.ibm.team.scm.common.internal.IScmQueryService" cannot be reached. The network stated the URL is invalid. The error is "java.nio.channels.UnresolvedAddressException". Verify the URL and contact your administrator.
--end--

Why is this modal. I'm fine with having some kind of indicator in the navigator view or similar indicating the repository workspace list could be out of date, but given that most of the time I use the same repository workspaces, the fact rtc couldn't search for one is hardly of relevance.

It must be assumed network connectivity can come and go, and user disruption must be kept to the minimum

Comments? If this makes sense am happy to raise a bug..
