Updating WASSDK

Bill Miner (61103) | asked Sep 23 '10, 2:43 p.m.
I am trying to apply 7.0.0-WS-WASSDK-LinuxX64-FP0000009.pak. However, when I use UpdateInstaller, I always get the

"This application requires a Java Run Time Environment (JRE)
to run. Searching for one on your computer was not successful.
Please use the command line switch -is:javahome to specify
a valid JRE. For more help use the option -is:help"

I have two jre packages installed: ibm-java-x86_64-jre-6.0-8.1 and
jre-1.6.0_21-fcs. I used the -is:javahome option pointing to the /bin/java in both these installations but I still get the error. I have also tried setting JAVA_HOME and it still does not recognize the jre.

This is with version 6.0.2.7 of UpdateInstaller, I have also tried with with 7.0.0.11.

any ideas of how to get this to work?

Thanks,
Bill

Problem Solved. Reinstalled WAS, as I had a corrupted installation. UpdateInstaller 11 works fine now.
