ETL updates

Angelo Corna (26148381) | asked Sep 06 '10, 9:20 a.m.
I've installed the ifix 3 of RQM 2.0.1.
On available files there is also an ETL update.
I've followed the installation instructions and now I've 2 ETL tasks (RQMALL and RQM-Delta).
Must I run both the tasks?

Thanks in advance.
Bye.

You would typically schedule the RQM-Delta to run every hour or so
depending on the frequency you want to see updates. If things are
removed the RQM-Delta does not pick this up so you need to run the
RQMALL occasionally say once a day or so. The RQM-Delta only pulls
changes from the last time it ran so it is pretty quick depending on the
number of updates on your server. The RQMALL does a full pull of data
so can take a long time depending on the size of your database and can
degrade the performance for users during that time. We typically run
the RQMALL daily at midnight when usage is low and RQM-Delta every hour
to get updates during the day. You can't go below about 30 minutes as
the Build-Star job takes about 20 minutes to run (at least for our
data). You don't want to pull faster than you can process or you will
have other problems.
