Copying configuration data from one Project to another

Steve Woodbridge (1352326) | asked Aug 20 '10, 5:30 p.m.
There is a project that created new Work Item types, work flows, attributes, etc. which they are using in a production environment. I would like to use as a starting point for a prototype. Is there a way to export the configuration data from the production version to some interim file and then import that file to my prototyping environment ?

You would use the "Export Process Template ..." operation on that
project area to create a template, and then use the Eclipse "export"
operation to export that template to a file.

You can then "import" that template file into your prototyping
environment, and then that project template is available in your
prototyping environment for when you to create new project areas.

Geoff
