Copying configuration data from one Project to another
There is a project that created new Work Item types, work flows, attributes, etc. which they are using in a production environment. I would like to use as a starting point for a prototype. Is there a way to export the configuration data from the production version to some interim file and then import that file to my prototyping environment ?

You would use the "Export Process Template ..." operation on that
project area to create a template, and then use the Eclipse "export" operation to export that template to a file. You can then "import" that template file into your prototyping environment, and then that project template is available in your prototyping environment for when you to create new project areas.
