RRC with WebSphere 6.1

Alan Gonçalves (1111) | asked Aug 19 '10, 10:02 a.m.
Hello Folks,

I have installed the RRC in a Windows XP, and now I need to setup the RRC with WAS 6.1.

I tried to find a WAS 6.1 Server for Windows XP from Xtreme Leverage Download to install that, but unfortunately I'm able to find it.

I would like to know if anyone is able to do that and could help me with some direction pls.

Tks a lot.

Best Wishes.

Hi Alan

I struggled to find this too. If you have a temporary setup - you could try download WAS 7 (trial version) - here:

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/downloads/ws/was/

or follow the links at the bottom of that page to take you to the trial version of 6.1.

People outside the IBM firewall can get these trial versions too.

You may also find a proper version as part of one of the other Rational apps on XL downloads - for example RSA for WebSphere.

regards

anthony

Just out of curiosity, why are you using WAS 6.1 instead of 7.0?
RRC V2 supports both as listed in the detailed system requirements here:
