I would like to add a new state of "Conditional Approval" in the Approval Tracking. Currently there is only "Approved", "Rejected" and "Pending". How to add the new state?

Currently, we use education to teach a reviewer how to enter Comments on the tab for the Work Item, or to create an Issue and associate it to the work item. They seem happy enough with this.

For our users, the more annoying problem in this area is that if you select an Approval or type "Review", the prompts asks you to "Add Approvers" and that not only causes some confusion but makes some of them angry. In general, I think there should be some ability to reuse the lower level of the process configuration for Approvals. Or, make it more intelligent to know the prompt to add reviewers should say that instead of Add Approvers.

I have a similiar situation: The customer is not happy to "Approve" (dropdown) a Review. He asked if he could change the "Approve" state if the type is "Review". Does anybody out there know how to do this?

This is an example for how to not do it. The initial question is fine. The other users creating an answer with the same question is not OK. If you want to comment on a question, use a comment. If you have a question, ask your own question. Please stop creating answers with your own question.

As far as I can tell, you can not customize approvals. I am not aware of a mechanism for it.

I am also looking for this function. It seems common a reviewer would want to indicate they reviewed and have issues but not enough to reject.

Has anyone worked this out?
I need to do a similar thing. The current functionality seems limited in this area. :(
