The database password is put in plaintext in teamserver.properties. Is there any way to provide that encrypted?

Tim,

I had retyped the password in the setup wizard. In my case the password was saved encypted. It looks like:

com.ibm.team.repository.db.jdbc.password=

That could be the difference. We went direct to the properties file. I will check it out. Thanks!
