Perhaps you can expand a bit on what you have in mind by "share defects"?

Hi Geoff,

Sorry for the such long delay - was working on another project.

I will try to explain by comparing RTC (the defect amangement part) to HP Quality Center (QC). The QC has scripted workflow that can be expanded and modified with Visual Basic script. For example if we need to perform some tasks when user select something on the defect form or pull information from external database. So I was looking for similar functionality in the RTC and cannot find anything.

This is normally done by adding process advisers (operation pre-actions)
and process participants (operation post-actions).
In particular, for your scenario, these would probably be process
participants on the "work item save" operation.
There is documentation on-line for this, and there articles for more
detailed guidance (for example, http://jazz.net/library/article/495).
