Sorting in Plan Mode

Hi,

I would like to know how I can sort work items by (summary) name. Currently, there are only the predefined sorting options available (creation date, estimate, planned time, etc..). Is it also possible for the user to then make minor rearrangements which will hold after the page is refreshed?

If I use "User Defined" - will the order of the work items be the same for the other Plan Modes that use this sorting?

Thanks in advance,
Vince-

Hi Geoff,

Sorting is not specifiable in plan modes yet, I believe. Grouping is only available for certain attribute types. some info can be found here: https://jazz.net/library/article/201/ . It shows how to make custom attributes available for planning.

However, if you try you will see that

1. You need to have a work item created that has the custom attributes before you can select to add them to the plan attributes.
2. Sorting will not provide you with a selection for the custom attributes(I tried boolean, string, integer, tag)
3. Grouping also only shows certain types of attributes e.g. tags worked, the others above don't

You can sort using the sort column in RTC 3.x manually later but you seem to be unable to specify that in the plan mode.
