Does RTC Client support Windows 7 64-bit?

Rachel Huang (361110) | asked May 12 '10, 2:13 a.m.
Trying to see if 64-bit of Windows 7 is supported. From "Detailed System Requirements for RTC client" (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=3488&uid=swg27015704), it only states x86-32. Also, there is no 64-bit client download. Does that mean RTC client does not support 64-bit Windows 7? - Thanks!

Hello,
the article you were referring is really old. Try this one: https://jazz.net/library/article/1109/#mozTocId227087. It mentions that both 32bit and 64bit are supported for CLM 4.0.1 and 4.0.2.
Let me know if it helps for you.

Best regards,

There are no 64 bit versions available for download.
You can download a 64 bit version of eclipse and install the p2 plugin into it.
The supported versions are:
IBM Eclipse SDK 3.7.2 and future fix packs
IBM Eclipse SDK 3.6.2.3 and future fix packs (3.6.2.3 is bundled with CLM)

The IBM Development Package for Eclipse includes a 64 bit version of Java 7
It also includes Juno which isn't yet supported but there are quite a few people using it.
You can download that here:

Which version of RTC you are referring you are trying to install ? You should be able to install this on 64 bit OS. However it will run as a 32 bit process. I recently deployed RTC 3.0.1.2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 and SQL Server 2008 R2 x86 and its working fine. Installation steps are documented here - http://nkumar83.wordpress.com/2013/06/04/installation-and-configuration-of-ibm-rtc-3-0-1-2-on-windows/
