Hand picking files to load from component

Shai Shapira (4674) | asked Apr 28 '10, 11:15 a.m.
Hi,

Trying to find a way to hand pick files to load from a component.
It contains a lot of files, and every developer needs only a different set of files from it. He might, though, need a different set every time, so it cannot be fixed.
Also, there is no sense in ordering the files in designated components.
Users must have it inside eclipse.
I tried the Load as.., but it requires a preliminary .project and for it to be loaded, in order to see it (nad control it) within eclipse.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Work item 113605 ("need option for sparse loading a project with
selected files") requests this functionality. Please verify that this
covers what you need, and if so, please feel free to add a comment
indicating your interest/support for this enhancement.

Hi Geoff,

Thanks for writing this Work Item (113605) up. I just added myself as a subcriber to it. I saw the earlier Work Items (900069 and 72182) regarding this and I know there is a quite a bit of work going on regarding this request. This WI is a great recap of what we actually would like to see.
