Contributing context menu action to Change Sets (Eclipse)
A partner is looking to contribute a context menu action to Change Set objects in the RTC Eclipse client. For example, the partner provided action would be available for the Change Set object that appears in Pending Changes View just like the Associate Work Item action.
What would you recommend as the best approach to doing that? Should the partner just contribute an action to the object com.ibm.team.filesystem.ui.wrapper.ChangeSetWrapper? Thanks, Samit Mehta IBM Rational Business Development |

Hi Samit:
Yes, your way sounds good. You can have the partner open a work item against RTC Source Control and detail their action. We can follow up in the work item and make sure we get their case covered (maybe we can suggest more appropriate solutions when we know more). Thanks, Chrix RTC Source Control |
Hi Chrix,
We'd also like to contribute a context menu & action to Change Sets in Eclipse. Here's what we hope a user can do after the contribution: Go to "Pending Changes" view, right click a Change Set and click "Newly Contributed Action", then see some information derived from changed files in a dialog or any view such as (Debug) "Display". Furthermore, it'd be great if a user can also right click a whole outgoing then see information derived from all changed files. We can sure open a Work Item, could you let's know where/account please? Thanks a lot! Sincerely, Yang Tivoli Application Discovery & Dependency Management |
