ClearCase LT data in RTC

Qaiser Islam (31297074) | asked Mar 23 '10, 3:38 p.m.
is it possible to import the cclt data in rtc? i have read one article somewhere i guess on ibm site that import from CCLT is not supported and the work around is to get temporary full clearcase license; and first migrate the CCLT VOB to CC full and then use CC connector to import the data into RTC

is it correct? is there any other way to import CCLT data in RTC?

The issue is dynamic view support ... the ClearCase
Synchronizer/Importer uses a dynamic view, so you have to be using a
version of ClearCase that allows the creation of dynamic views (CCLT
does not).

So yes, if you want to import history into RTC, you would need to use
the approach described in that article.

If all you need is the "tip" of your stream (i.e., without history),
then you can of course just "share" (Eclipse's term for "put under
source control") the tree in your snapshot view into RTC.

Cheers,
Geoff
