Create a report for traceability of test case and defects
Hi
I am new to RTC and would like to generate a report which will depict the traceability of test case and the corresponding defects. For eg:Assume that i have a testcase whose status is failed and a defect has been raised for the same in RTC. I would like to generate a report that would basically show the traceability of the testcase ,the status of the test case and the corresponding defect that has been created for the same. Kinldy provide the valuable guidance in creating the report for the same. Thanks in advance Sanfi |

Hi
I would like to know if it is possible to generate reports in RTC with already available templates which would show the details of a work item in a way that is similar to the one generated by the Clearquest tool in printview. ie:The entire report should be divided into multiple sections with each section having fields corresponding to the fields that are present in a workitem. It could be something like one section having information on the workitem id,priority, severity, start date, owner; another section containing the description; etc. Kindly porvide any valubale guidance regarding this. Thanks in advance Sanfi |

Hi Hi Sanfi, By "test case", I assume you're talking about an RQM test case? If that's the case, I suggest that you connect with the RQM developers about this - I know they ship some such traceability reports with RQM and have experience joining this information together in a report. Hope this helps. james RTC Reports Team Lead |

Hi Hi Sanfi, While I'm not familiar with the Clearquest printview tool, it is possible to generate an RTC report which presents the result of a work items query. To get you started with this, we have a video that demonstrates how to do this: http://jazz.net/library/video/287 Let me know if this helps. james RTC Reports Team Lead |
