What is the default/recommended -Xmx value for RTC server?

While working on a recent memory crunch on our RTC server with Jazz and WAS teams, they suggested that our -Xmx value of 1000MB is too low and the reconmmnded one is 1536MB.

However Xmx value for our RTC instances is set to 1000m based on the tech tip http://jazz.net/library/techtip/321 - JVM setup section, step 13 in this article clearly specifies the Xmx value to be set as 1000m.

So is this techtip a bit of out of date?

Can't say what the best is, but I have 13 rtc repositories, most use 1700m and usually work for weeks a a time w/o failures. (all tomcat, btw).
