Hello Ramesh,
RTC 2.X Client is build on top Eclipse 3.4.2 + 3 patches.
Depending on WID version, you'll need to add the 3 patches manually
as described here -
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=3488&uid=swg21391058

1 - install WID
2 - install the 3 Eclipse patches
3 - use IBM Install Manager to install RTC into this configuration.

Note: my understanding is that such integration - though might be
working - is not "officially" supported by WID.
You might want to verify on the WID forum.

Thanks.
Eric.

Hi Eric,

Thanks a lot for your info.
I have a WID 6.2 got installed in my mechine
and could please tell me from where to download the 3 Eclipse
patches.

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Ramesh

Hi Ramesh, I have installed RTC Client 2.0.0.2 on top of WID 6.2.0.2 and
I didn't receive the commented errors:

Feature "org.eclipse.equinox.p2.user.ui.R342patch" is missing
Feature "org.eclipse.rcp.R342patch" is missing
Feature "org.eclipse.jdt.R342patch" is missing

So I understand WID 6.2.0.2 has those patches included. But i can't
confirm everything works fine because I had no time to test it yet. I
just know it installed correctly and I was able to connect to RTC Server
2.0.0.2

Chemi.

I believe WID 6.2.0.2 and WID 7.0 are supported with RTC.

These links to an FAQ about WID 6.2.0.2 interim fix 1 might help:

Tested Rational Team Concert configurations shipped with WebSphere Integration Developer:

WebSphere Integration Developer V6.2.0.2 interim fix 1
Rational Team Concert Client V1.0.1 with Rational Team Concert V1.0.1 server
Rational Team Concert Client V2.0.0.2 with Rational Team Concert V2.0.0.2 server

Question: How do I use the IBM Rational Team Concert client for Eclipse with WebSphere Integration Developer?
Answer:
1. Follow the instructions in Installing Rational Team Concert Client. The Rational Team Concert client must be installed into the same package as WebSphere Integration Developer in Installation Manager.
2. Start WebSphere Integration Developer.
3. Switch to Jazz Administration perspective.
4. To connect to the Rational Team Concert server and import modules to workspace, see Working in the Eclipse client.
5. To share a module, in WebSphere Integration Developer switch to Business Integration perspective, right-click the module and choose Team > Share > Jazz Source Control.

Hi Team,

My task is to export the data from flat file having multiple records with pipe symbol separated by using flat file adapter in web sphere integration developer7.0.
I am doing with mediation flow and connected to database with jdbc adapter. When I copied the flat file in the event directory it is picking the file and inserting the first record in database irrespective of number of records in the flat file. But I am able to get the number of records from flat file from flat file adapter and displaying in console by using trace component in mediation flow.

My problem is how to invoke multiple times create operation for bunch of records as batch insert.

Can any one please help me in this issue.
Thanking you in advance.

Balagangadhar, I think you should ask in WebSphere forums:
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/wsdd_forums.jspa
This one is about Rational Team Concert.

Hi,

Has anyone been successful following the given procedure for getting RTC 2.0.0.2 installed in WID 7.0?

I am still having trouble getting this work. One of the issues seem to be the version of Installation Manager. Has anyone been able to do this with Installation Manager version other than 3.3.1?

I am receiving dependency issues related to not finding com.ibm.x.x types of components, which seems kind of odd.

Thanks!

I had successfully installed WID 7.0.0.3 with RTC Client 2.0.0.2 iFix5
I don't remember exactly which version of Installation Manager I was
using, but it was the last one at that moment.

WID 6.1.2 is based on Eclipse 3.2.2 - so you will need an RTC client that works with that version of Eclipse

(See the info here: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/ieduasst/v1r1m0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.iea.wpi_v6/wpswid/6.1.2/WID/WPIv612_WIDWhatsNew_1/player.html on what is new in WID 6.1.2)

You need an RTC 3 or 4 plugin on WID to get it to talk to your RTC v4.0.5 server - and RTC 3.0.1 requires Eclipse 3.5.2 according to the 3.0.1 system requirements here:

https://jazz.net/library/article/632

RTC 3.0 requires 3.5.2 as well - so it looks like this is not going to work for you.

So it looks like you will not be able to use WID 6.1 with your current RTC server.  More recent versions of WID may work
