google Alt key unicode input. 

On a Mac using Chrome , I'm able to directly create Unicode symbols using Alt/Option keys. It's also possible to directly input the Unicode hex. 
Windows has a similar Alt key input approach for Unicode. Eg. Alt + 26

Mac also has an on-screen symbol keyboard which you can copy from , paste into DNG. Windows must have something similar.
