How to delete a user story from the product backlog?

Is it possible to delete a user story from the product backlog? I don't see an option in the web client for doing this.

Is this a restriction of the process template (e.g. you can only reject a story) but something that is configurable?

Deleting work items in not possible. To make a work item not showing up
in a plan anymore, you can modify its Planned For and/or Filed Against
attribute so that is doesn't match the plan attributes (owner,
iteration) anymore.
