Writing a Service for a Viewlet - Current approach

Hello,
The wiki https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/ViewletServices recommends to use a more current approach to contribute a service. Is there an updated example to write a service for a viewlet using the latest approach?
Thank you for sharing.

Hi Marly,

Just to confirm, are you developing for the Jazz Foundation 1.0.0.x code base?
This is the version shipped with Rational Team Concert 2.0.0.x.

The more current approach that the Wiki document refers to using JFS in Jazz Foundation 2.x and beyond. This code base is what Rational Team Concert 3.x will be developed on. The details of this architecture are still being fleshed out and services written using the latest framework would not work in the 1.0.0.x code base (which is what I think you are developing for).

In summary, the Wiki document can be considered the "latest" recommended way of writing viewlet services even though it implies otherwise.
