How to ALWAYS create a baseline on creation of snapshot?

Thomas Mast (12) | asked Jul 04 '19, 3:29 a.m.

Is there an way to have the option Create new baseline even for unchanged components always checked while creating a snapshot. The option should be checked by default. Any suggestions? (JTS 6.0.6 iFix009)

There is, as far as I know, no way to default this. This is a client functionality.

The snapshot ALWAYS uses a baseline, it just reuses the last baseline of the unchanged component. Creating a new baseline just creates more data.

Yes, but creating a new baseline on creation of snapshot creates a baseline with the same name as the snapshot. It's much more easier to identify the baseline.

I understand that reason. That does not change the answer and it is still proliferation of data.

And because of the proliferation of data (and the proliferation can be very significant if you are creating a snapshot on every  build), I would strongly recommend you looking for a different way of solving your use case than forcing the creation of identical baselines.  If you identify the use case here, we can potentially help you look for a different way of solving it.
