Searching Description and Discussion fields
![]()
When we add Descriptions or Comments that are larger than the field can contain, it creates an attachment for us. Is there a way to perform a search on all the Comments that also includes the text put in the attachment?
For example, we have 10 separate Comments in a record and 2 of them exceeded the length and had attachments added in. If we want to search for a word among all those 10 comments and that word is in the attachment only it doesn't seem to find it. Separate question: I saw in another post that the Description field was 32768 chars long. How long is each Comment allowed to be? And is there any way to increase the allowable length? Thanks, |

I was using the Ctrl-F function to find text, which is why it wasn't searching the attachments. |

I can query based on the contributors updates to comments, however it seems this is not an option for "Description".
I would like to be able to query for items where the description was modified by a contributor. Anyone know if this is "working as designed"? I can instruct contributers to add a comment when they close a work item, however some work items are short, and just have all information included in description. |
