RQM query creation Requirement

Preetha T (27333) | asked Nov 22 '18, 4:45 a.m.

The User is having Requirement like to filter test cases based on supplier. So we created dashboard for that based upon the supplier. In browse test cases we already created customized queries based upon the test suite. So In dashboard if we click on particular supplier it will load that test cases based upon supplier and again if we select particular test suite it should filter on that particular supplier only. It should not display all suppliers. Is there any possibility to do this in RQM?

Thanks,

Hi Preetha,

It sounds like you have customized query for test cases ( based on Supplier) , however same might not be there for test suites. Hence all the test suites are listed when you load them on dashboard view.

The way you have customized your query for test cases based on supplier, in a similar way you need to create  a customized query for Test suites as well. So once you have this query for Test Suites, you can load them on the dashboard in the same way you would have done for Test Cases.

You can also have two dashboard view lets : one for Test cases based on Supplier and another one for Test Suites based on particular supplier.

Hope this helps,

 Dear Krupa,

Thanks for your response.

Actually in our case there are multiple suppliers lets say example: Bosch, Delphi like that. and we also have multiple test suites. already we created customized query based upon the test suite. if we select particular test suite it is loading the appropriate test cases for that test suite. Now we created customized query for suppliers and it was mapped in dashboard.

In Dashboard, if we select particular supplier lets say am selected bosch supplier it is loading the appropriate test cases for that bosch supplier. but in inside we have multiple customized query for test suite, if we select One test suite lets say brake it should load the test cases for brake feature with supplier bosch. The user is asking like this only.. you suggested maintained in separate dashboards. But we have multiple test suites ... can u suggest some other way to achieve this?

Hi Preetha,

You can have categories like "Customer" and "Feature " for test cases and test suites. And based on Customer and feature category values, you can create queries and separate test suites and test cases.

Try this,
