Read only Attributes Type and State precondition working
Dear Team,
I would like to know the working of Read only Attributes Type and State precondition.
- I have made severity field as Mandatory in Defect - Closed state.
This works good if workitem is in Closed state.
Query is , If i change workitem from other state (eg.In progress) to Closed , in addition to this change the severity before save, Meaning state change and severity and hit save button.
this will result in Severity not allowed to modify. Why this is coming up? Severity change should work because state is not yet Closed.

The advisor calculates the work item state based on the current state and the selected workflow action.
InProgress + Close = State of saved work item is closed.
