Can anyone please advise me on which automation tool we can use to automate the UI part in RTC? Is Rational Functional Tester (RFT) the right tool or someone is using any other tool?

I assume you meant automation of functional tests.

I haven't actually tried this but in general RFT should be able to test Eclipse UI's as well as Web UI's so I would definitely give it a try.

I would also be interested in feedback about experiences if available.
