Import of MS-Word Rqmt Doc: Can I suppress the "Auto-Numbering of Headings?

Carlos Gonsalez (37618) | asked Mar 12 '18, 4:38 p.m.

For DOORS Next Generation(RDNG), the YouTube videos and Online documents have examples of Importing of hierarchical ordered MS-Word Rqmt files(i.e. un-numbered Heading_1, Heading_2,) imported into RDNG, with the resulting "Heading" objects "auto-numbered"(1, 1.1, 1.2, 1.2.1, etc), its paragraphs indented, and its "shalls" correctly parsed into separate objects.

ISSUE: I need to import a Requirements MS-Word file whose Heading are already numbered (1, 1.1, 1.2, etc).
How do I import this Word Rqmts Document with the "auto-number" feature Turned Off while retaining
the "shall" parsing and indenting of paragraphs?

 Hi Carlos,

I'm not sure if there's a way to suppress, but after you import you can change them by selecting Set as Heading or Content, and then selecting the Normal Row Artifact Type that you want to apply. If they're all the same you can select multiples and change all at once.

Good luck!

Carol
