Linked Artifacts from QM and CCM not visible in Module when "Validated by" and "Implemented by" Columns are enabled

Alick Banda (43418) | asked Feb 03 '16, 4:42 a.m.
Hi,

Our analysts create Modules, which will/contain various Requirement Artifacts. Test cases and User stories are then linked to the requirement artifacts.

When the Module is opened, the "Validated by" and "Implemented by" columns enabled, we are unable to see any of the linked artifacts in the Module. Selecting the artifact within the module, then navigating to the "Selected Artifact">> "Links" section, the artifact shows that there are no links.

However, when we browse the artifacts, and then select the <Module> artifacts folder, display the columns "Validated by" and or "Implemented by" Columns, we are able to view the linked artifacts.

1. Why is it that we are able to see the linked artifacts when we browse the requirements artifacts?
2. Is our system responding as its supposed to? Or is this a bug?
3. If this is a bug, is there an iFix for this issue? i.e We are currently using CLM 6.0 (RM, CCM, QM) iFix 1.
4. If the system is responding as expected, is there an explanation as to why links cannot be viewed in the Module, but can be viewed when we browse artifacts contained in the Module?

Regards,

Alick

 Hi Alick,

From where did you do the linking. I mean to say while creating links to requirements did you create links from Module or did you create links from  browse the artifacts and then select the <module> artifacts folder.

Thank you,
Kunal.

Hi Kunal,

Thanks for your response.

Links are created from eg, the test case, using the "validates..."  link type, which prompts the user to browse and select the relevant requirement artifact.

Alick

Did you create links from Module(by opening module) or did you create links from  browse the artifacts and then select the <module> artifacts folder and then create link for individual artifact.

Thank you,
Kunal

Hi Kunal,

The links were created from browse the artifacts and then select the <module> artifacts folder and then create link for individual artifact.

Alick
