I am running through the IBM RTC 6.x Extensibility workshop (section 1.6). I am using RTC 6.0.5. I am unable to launch the Jetty debug server. There are a number of features/bundles (shown below) in Debug Configurations that cannot seem to resolve the package: javax.el. can anyone help?

There is a defect in the 6.0.5 SDK at the moment. A fix is in development.

Hi Ralph, any idea when the fix will be released?

Hi Ralph, if the fix will take some time, is the latest stable release of the SDK 6.0.4?

If you don't need the 6.0.5 features, use 6.0.4. A testfix was done yesterday but it is not published yet.

Thanks for the information Ralph. One last question, how will will I know when the new release of 6.0.5 is available?

Good question that I can not yet answer as it is not available and I am not release engineering either. I will probably post it on https://rsjazz.wordpress.com/ if I learn it is available.

HI Russell, we found this issue a couple of weeks ago and have opened a PMR to address this issue around two weeks ago. We were already able to test the fix mentioned by Ralph, but it needs some further work to resolve the remaining issues.
One note about the latest stable release: We struggled with 6.0.4 as well, so I'd personally recommend to work with 6.0.3 if you can't wait for the fix..

Hi Ralph, is the 6.0.5 SDK fix released? Where would I find it? And, can I just remove and reimport the SDK fix or do you recommend a full redeployment? Thanks. Kevin

I have an issue with my SSD, so I am not sure and I can not really test at the moment.

Why don't you download the available SDK and try that out? It should contain all fixes.

If you want to make sure and don't need the newest version, 6.0.3 has worked for me.
