We wish to understand the implications of migrating data from one project to another. One issue id'ed to me was the scenario of exporting /importing a project's data from one area to another and preservation of id's, links, etc..

I understand that the id's would be new and that we can capture the original id and populate a "legacy/old id" field with the info.

My question is can links be migrated in the same fashion?  EG. Artifact 123 in one PA linked to testcase 456 in QM.

We export the artefacts including the link info and import it into a different project area. Would the links be preserved on import?  EG Artifact 123 imported which created artifact 789. Would 789 be linked back to testcase 456?
