Warning while logging in to RTC repository

Ashish Kumar (362) | asked Sep 16 '09, 5:07 a.m.
Jazz experts,

We have installed Jazz 1.0, RTC 2.0 Fix1; Have disabled the secure login; 'jadmin' id created with Jazzadmin permissions and with Developer client access license.

When we try to connect to an RTC repository, we get a pop-up window with the message

CRJAZ0106I The request for URL "/jazz/service/com.ibm.team.scm.common.internal.IScmQueryService" was denied with a Not Available status.
CRJAZ0106I The request for URL "/jazz/service/com.ibm.team.scm.common.internal.IScmQueryService" was denied with a Not Available status.

Are we lacking any license/previlege? Is that the reason, we get the above warning?

Still, the warning allows us to proceed further. We have created a new project and its processs template.
However, we are unable to create workitems. The add category button in the work item categories is disabled.

Do we have to create anything prior to this to create new workitems?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

This does not look like a role/privilege issue. usually you don't see errors popping up when logging in.

Is it the Web access? I would have a look into the server log files.

Also you should check the server status summary as well as the component status:

https://<your>:9443/jazz/admin#action=jazz.viewPage&id=com.ibm.team.repository.server

https://<your>:9443/jazz/admin#action=com.ibm.team.repository.admin.componentStatus

Any red here is bad. Where is it red and what does the log tell you?

I tried the web ui with a guest account without license and project membership and was able to create the work item without being able to save it, of course.

I think I have seen something similar in the past with the Eclipse client. Not sure what caused that, maybe a corrupt Eclipse workspace. Have you tried to create a new Eclipse Work space?

Just some thoughts,

Ralph

dear sir,

my environment
Rational Team Concert 3.0 M7a (Beta 1)
Rational Team Concert 3.0 M6a

I got the same error message after I log in to the jazz server by using rtc eclipse client.
Even I change to a new workspace, the situation is the same.
If I try to deploy templates in the step 2 of the "create project area" wizard, the rtc will fail without any error message.

I like to know that is there any post installation works to do for the rtc 3.x?
